Start times may be changed once all entries have been received. Teams will be notified of exact times by e-mail and they will be posted on the website meet information.
Two (2) heats (top 16) will return to finals session in the 11 & 12 age group. Consolation and Championship Finals will be swum in that order. 1000 Free, 1650 Free, 500 Free, 400 I.M. and all relays are timed final events. Also, swimmers in the 1650 Free, 1000 Free, 500 Free, & 400 IM will be responsible for providing their own timer.
SITE: The Tootell Aquatic Center Competition Pool is an 8-lane, 25-yard pool with seven-foot-wide lanes and non-turbulent lane lines. A Fully-automatic Colorado Time System, electronic timing with touch pads at the finish end of the pool with single-line electronic display. There are no touch pads at the turn end of the pool. There is an instructional pool approximately 25x20 yards that will be available for warm-up and warm-down. The Diving Well will not be available for warm-up or cool down during the meet. The finish end of the competition pool is 7.5 feet deep; the turn end of the pool is 4.5 feet deep. Spectator seating for 450. The pool is located inside the Tootell Aquatic Center, connected to all the University of Rhode Island athletic complexes, 3 Keaney Rd, Kingston, RI. Please enter through the Mackal Field House entrance (White Building).
COURSE: Short course yards (25 yards).

ELIGIBILITY: All contestants must be 2007 USA Swimming registered athletes. All swimmers must be registered before the entry is submitted. Teams that enter unregistered swimmers will be subject to a fine of $100 per unregistered swimmer. New England teams entering the meet are required to check their entries with the online registration check tool on the New England Swimming web site. Please contact the New England Swimming Office for registration information. Disabled swimmer forms are available from the New England Swimming Office. ENTRY INFORMATION: No swimmer may swim more than 9 individual events (11 –12 maximum of 3 events per day). All relay swimmers must be listed on the official entry form. Relays are not limited but only 2 relays per club can score. Entries must be received by Monday, February 19th by 5:00pm. E-mail entries will be accepted and must be received by the original cutoff date and a check and hard copy received by Thursday , February 22nd 2007 by 12:00 PM. . If mailing, United States Postal Service Overnight Mail method is to be used. Indicate that the package can be delivered even if no one is there to sign for it. No fax entries will be accepted. Make checks payable to “RAMS Swimming Club”. Mail completed forms (including signed entry cover page and waiver) and payment to the entry chairperson: Mike Dignan, 10 Dogwood Lane, Mystic, CT 06355. All fees must accompany entry. If submitting entry on a disk a hard copy is still required and must also accompany the disk. If you e-mail the entry a hard copy and check for the appropriate fee must be received by the date listed above in order to be accepted.
ELECTRONIC ENTRIES: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to the entry chairperson at mdignan@snet.net Please check that your team name, address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. For email entries, payment and hardcopy of the entry (including signed entry cover page and waiver) must be received within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of receipt of the email entry. If payment is received within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of the email entry, the email receipt date will be considered the date of entry. If payment is received more than four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, after the email entry, the payment receipt date will be considered the date of entry.
ENTRY TIME UPATES: Entry times may be updated until 7 days prior to the first day of the meet. No new entries will be accepted after the February 19, 2007 entry deadline. Entry time updates should be sent via email to the entry chairperson at mdignan@snet.net Entry time updates must be sent as Hy-Tek format CL2 files with updated times. (New entries will be automatically excluded.)

ENTRY TIMES: Entry times must be achieved between February 11, 2006 and February 19, 2007. Then meet will be run seeded in the following order, SCY, SCM, LCM.
VERIFICATION All Entries must include verification codes. There will be a verification table at 12 & Under Age Group Championships. At this meet teams must submit to the verification table a copy of their meet entry with verification of all times indicated. Teams must also include a copy of any non-New England calendar meet results used for entry times. Results will be reviewed by New England Swimming. Any swimmer unable to verify entry time will be barred from the rest of the meet. If several swimmers from one team are unable to verify entry times the swimmers and the coach may be banned from the remainder of the meet.
A scratch box will be located on the pool deck for the 11 & 12 events. Scratch deadlines for Friday, Saturday and Sunday prelim events will be due by 6:00pm the night before. Scratches for Friday only may be made by phone to (860-326-1099) until 6:00 pm Thursday, February 22nd, 2007. All Thursday Evening events will be POSITIVE CHECK-IN by 5:00 pm at the Clerk of Course on deck.
Scratches for 10 & U afternoon sessions must be turned in to the time table 30 minutes before the start of the session using the team scratch sheets provided.
SPECIAL SCRATCH NOTES (FOR 11 & 12 SWIMMERS) 1. Any swimmers for fails to complete in an individual event heat in which he/she is entered and has not been scratched will be barred from further competition for that day, including relays and time trials. The swimmer will be also automatically scratched from the following day’s events unless the clerk of course has been notified of the swimmers intention to complete by 6:00 pm. NOTE: Finals are considered continuation of events starting with trials.
2. Any swimmer who completes in an individual heat and qualifies for Championship Finals or Consolations and fails to notify the meet referee of his/her intension to withdraw from the final within 30 minutes of the announcement of the results and qualifies for that event, and does not complete nor is excused by the meet referee, will be barred from all subsequent competition in the meet, including relays and time trials.
3. All relay, 500 Free, 400 IM, 1000 Free and 1650 Free events must confirm their intention to participate with a POSITIVE CHECK-IN.
RELAYS: All relays will be swum as timed finals. A team may enter relays according to the number of swimmers per sex entered in individual events with a maximum of 2 relays per team per event, both of which may score. At the Age Group meet, a team with 1, 2, or 3 swimmers of the same sex entered in at least one individual event may enter one relay in each relay event of that sex. If a team has 4 or more swimmers of the same sex entered in at least one individual event, the team may not have any “relay only” swimmers for relays of that sex
RELAY CARDS: Must be submitted to the clerk of course by the beginning of the relay warm-ups or if there are no relay warm-ups then my the conclusion of the last event. No changes to the composition of the relay order of the relay swimmers may be made after submission of relay cards to the clerk of course, except for medical or other excuse approved by the meet referee.
ADMISSION: $1.00 per session.
PROGRAMS: $5.00 per session.
WARM UPS: The pool will open for warm-ups one-hour before the beginning of each session. The pool will close five minutes before the beginning of each session. Teams will be assigned warm-up lanes after all entries are received. The diving well and instructional pool area will be available during the meet for warm-up and warm-down. .
OTHER MEET NOTES Coaches are expected to understand the scratch, verification and relay rules before the meet begins. All coaches should check-in at the timing table on the pool deck upon arrival. Coach’s packets will be available at the beginning of the warm-up session from the timing table. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of their swimmers at all times. Any damage to the premises or equipment is the responsibility of those doing the damage. Swimmers and spectators are restricted to the pool, spectator areas and locker rooms. No smoking is permitted inside the facility. The Rams Swimming Club assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen property. Pets of any kind and smoking are not permitted within the facility.
Please do not ask to change entry times or events after the entry deadline. No deck entries will be accepted
SAFETY:
RULES: 2006 USA Swimming rules will govern all competition. Decisions by the meet referee will be final unless a written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of the heat swum.
TIME TRIALS: Time trials will be offered at the discretion of the meet referee if time allows. Time trials are $5.00 for individual events and $20.00 for relays.
SCORING:
AWARDS: Medals will be awarded for the first 8 places in individual events and first 3 places in relays. Ribbons for 9-16 places individual, and 4-8 relays. These awards will be presented throughout the meet as time allows.
Plaques will be awarded to the individual high point winners for both boys and girls for the first eight places for each age group. Awards will be given for combined 12 & Under Team High Point places 1-8.
OFFICIALS AND TIMERS In accordance with standard NE Championship procedures, all teams entering the meet must provide a prorated share of officials and timers and other required personnel. Work assignments will be based on the number entries per team. Teams will be informed of their assignments prior to the meet. The officials coordinator for this meet will be Jean Lambert, (jzlambert@cox.net). Any official interested in helping at the meet should contact Jean. Officials who sign up by the meet deadline (February 19th) will be included in the number of workers when team work assignments are done.
DECK ACCESS: Only athletes, coaches, officials, and official meet staff are permitted on the pool deck. All non-athletes on the pool deck must display their USA Swimming registration card at all times. Individuals without their USA Swimming registration card will be removed from the pool deck, and will be subject to a fine by New England Swimming.
FOOD / VENDOR: A concession stand will be in operation for the duration of the meet. A swimming equipment vendor will be selling suits, goggles, and other accessories for the duration of the meet.
DIRECTIONS: From the North: Take Interstate 95 South to exit 9 (Route 4 south). Follow Route 4 until it merges and becomes Route 1 south. Continue on Route 1 south to Route 138 west. Travel 5 miles on Route 138 west thru two traffic lights. The entrance to the Mackal Field House parking lot is on the right just before the Tennis Courts and Video Information Board (Marquee). Look for signs that say south entrance to the athletic facilities.
From the South: Take Interstate 95 North to exit 3A (Route 138 East). Follow for seven miles through four traffic lights. The entrance to the Mackal Field House parking lot is on the left past the tennis courts and Video Information Board (Marquee). Look for signs that say south entrance to the athletic facilities.
PARKING: Parking is located in front of the Brad Boss Arena and is indicated by the pink parking signs. Parking is NOT allowed on the road in front of or behind the Mackal-Keaney-Tootell Complex.
